Easter Highlights

We had a great week last week. My cousin Joan and her husband Jeff came down from Maine with their youngest (of 8!) Tim. They are praying about relocating here to Texas and took a week to experience the city and make job contacts and look at homes. We had a wonderful visit with them and shed a few tears when they left. This is Joan helping the kids make resurrection buns. You wrap bread dough around marshmallows and then dip it in cinnamon and sugar. When the bread bakes, the marshmallow dissolves and the inside is empty like the tomb! And they were very yummy!
We enjoyed having Tim around. He is adorable and has a very sweet personality. Elizabeth was saying she loved him before he even arrived!
Joan and Jeff left Saturday and we had church Saturday night. Our church is in a temporary location and another church has a contract to use the facility every Easter for like 10 years. So we worshipped Saturday with an Easter egg hunt prior to the service. It was a wonderful time of worship and celebration!
With church on Saturday, we were able to sleep in on Sunday and stay cozy inside while it poured outside! Caleb said it was like having two Saturdays!
The weather cleared up after lunch, so after running some errands we had our own egg hunt outside. We put Caleb's eggs in some higher spots that he had to work for!
Elizabeth's were a little easier to find! She had a great time and keeps asking for another hunt!
Sunday night we had some good friends from church over for dinner and enjoyed fellowshipping and eating! It was a wonderful week with family and a relaxing weekend celebrating the resurrection of our Savior!
